Gwinnett Sexual
Assault Center & Children’s Advocacy Center
(GSAC-CAC) is nationally
recognized for its exemplary program
and services. GSAC-CAC provides comprehensive care and
treatment for victims and families impacted by crimes
of sexual assault and/ or child sexual abuse. GSAC-CAC
is a dual services program meeting the unique and distinctive
standards of response and care. Services provided are
developmentally appropriate and specialized for child,
teens or adult victims. There is no charge to victims
for services received at GSAC-CAC. These services include:
- 24-hour crisis line
- 24-hour forensic-medical evidentiary exam/assessment
and evidence collection
- Advocacy
- Crisis intervention support
- Medical accompaniment
- Community awareness on topics associated
with child sexual abuse, sexual assault, rape, sexual harassment,
drug-facilitated sexual assault, at-risk behaviors, legislative
initiatives, youth organizations and education for youth
and teens in understanding healthy relationships and community
services
- Professional training for law enforcement,
prosecutors, judges, medical and mental health personnel
- Consultation for schools, media, government
agencies, publications and educational films
